Valentines Day in Sandbar, Manjuyod

This year's Valentines Day was spent with some entirely new people in my life! Hehe. After 3 failed date plans by my boyfriend (I'm a very busy woman), we decided to tag along with his friends instead.

It wasn't the best time to visit the sandbar as it was extremely windy that day. Of course, that didn't stop us from taking advantage of the sea, sand and how could I forget the food! It was a feast!!!

Wandering Wednesday: Puerto Princesa, Palawan

Flashback to 3 years and 2 months ago when my college friends and I experienced Puerto Princesa - that tiny piece of island paradise we exploited for three days and 2 nights.

Since we took full advantage of the tour packages, not a single minute was wasted. We were up for anything and wanted to try everything! We were exploring by the day and partying at night (we were still light drinkers then haha). I remember wanting to sleep the whole week after this trip. I needed another vacation to recover from this vacation! Hehe.

City Tour (Cathedral, Plaza Cuartel, Boulevard, Mitra's Ranch, Crocodile Farm, Baker's Hill)

Wandering Wednesday: Hongkong 2015

A year ago, I had the chance to visit Hongkong for a few days. To say that I had a blast would be an understatement. In a time where I was extremely in the dumps, I'd say I gained a lot of learning from this short trip. And a lot of friends too! I came to this city without any direction (sometimes literally because I got lost a few times haha), but I have earned a whole new perspective about life, love and people in general.

Chasing the Valencia Waterfalls

I had the chance to tag along with my college friends and their workmates' Valencia tour a few weeks ago. For one, I didn't know about any tour (all I knew was that we were going straight to Pulang Bato). And second, I didn't know this trip was going to take HOURS. And because I am that person who doesn't prepare for trips, I ended up swimming in my underwear under that freezing water because I didn't have extra clothes. Those slippery rocks also played a trick on me and that eventually led to the painful demise of a precious toenail. (RIP toe)

Casaroro Falls. My ultimate goal was to count the exact number of steps going to Casaroro. I failed big time because I slipped and slid a lot of times. It's pretty surprising I only got a dead toe nail.

DreAmland Nature and Adventure Park

Isolated 4 kilometers away from Amlan proper is this adventure and nature park suited for people who just want to get away to see some animals, get their body moving or just unwind in general.

We arrived here past noon and I'd say it was an advisable time to get moving. We started off with the nature park where you'd get to see some wild animals, feed the birds and get some refreshments. Favorite part is always the refreshments! Heheh.

Next up is the adventure part where you can do an aerial walk and water tubing. We didn't have the time to do the water tubing but we did swim in their river right after! It's been 3 days and I still can't get to walk decently. I have sores in some muscles I didn't even know existed! Fun times!

Twin Lakes of Balinsasayao and Danao

Welcome to the Municipality of Sibulan - a town that boasts not only of beautiful people (ahem ahem), but also jaw-dropping sights and wonders. One of the most famous spots would be this set of lakes tucked 13km away from the provincial road.

I have been here a couple of times before and the feeling of awe never gets old. Whether you're a local or visiting tourist, I think everyone needs to see this wonder regularly.

Lake Kabalin-an (This isn't part of the twin lakes. But this one is another stunner right before you enter and register and their center. This lake is a favorite backdrop for prenups and other photoshoots)

Valentines Weekend in Dapitan City

Happy Love Month everyone! This year, I had an out of town trip with my family and my brother's co-workers. Actually, this was their company thingamajig. We just decided to join in on their pre-election trip. The more the merrier, right?

We availed of the tour package so we wouldn't have to worry about what to do in the trip. The package included almost everything (boat fare, tour bus, city tours, river cruise, overnight stay in Dakak, some free water activities and meals) so a lot has been pretty much taken cared of.

Sinulog de Kabankalan 2016

So hashtag blessed (lol) to be back in this city to celebrate Sinulog this year. Since Sibulan had an entry in this year's festival, we thought it'd be a good idea to pay this laid-back city a visit once again.  And it didn't disappoint as usual. Three years since I last celebrated in Kabankalan and it's still as colorful, lively and fun as the last time!
